Herbert P. Sydney
Herbert P. Sydney, a member of the New York State Bar, is the Co-Senior managing partner at SAGH, having founded the original firm in 1958.
He is a graduate of New York University’s School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance (cum laude) and Law School. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Judge Advocate’s office. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified to practice in New York, Florida and Virginia.
He specializes in providing advice to individuals and businesses in the areas of estate planning, taxation, employment contracts and commercial transactions.

Sheldon Amster
Sheldon Amster, a member of both the New York State and Florida Bars, is a partner at SAGH. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1954 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and from New York University School of Law in 1956 (cum laude) where he was the Decisions Editor on the Law Review.
After having been engaged in the private practice of law from 1956 to 1962, he joined the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Second Judicial Department in 1962 as a Law Assistant. Subsequently, he became the Executive Assistant for three (3) Presiding Justices, and in 1974 was appointed Director of Administration of the Courts for the Second Judicial Department.
He retired from government services after twenty (20) years in 1982, at which time he became a Partner in the predecessor firm, Sydney, Seif & Amster. He specializes in estate planning, real estate and transactional work.

David S. Green
David S. Green, a member of both the New York State and Connecticut Bars, is a partner of the firm and specializes in Trusts and Estates and Tax. His practice focuses on providing advice to families and individuals relating to estate planning and administration, philanthropic endeavors and tax matters. Mr. Green also regularly advises executors and trustees in their fiduciary roles and charitable organizations regarding governance and other matters.
Mr. Green received a J.D. summa cum laude from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1997, where he was salutatorian and Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. He earned an M.B.A. in Management and Finance from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business of Hofstra University in 1979, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the City University of New York (York College) in 1977. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Green had a successful career in information technology at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Berkey Photo, Inc.

Stan G. Horowitz
Stan G. Horowitz, a member of the New York State Bar, is the co-managing partner of Sydney, Amster, Green & Horowitz, PLLC. A graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Lafayette College, Stan first was a partner in a boutique real estate firm in New York City until 2006 when he founded his own firm which he managed until joining SAGH in 2014.
His broad client base includes most national lenders which he has represented and counseled for almost 20 years on the ever changing landscape of mortgage banking. In addition, Mr. Horowitz represents individual clients in their Trust & Estate planning and administration needs as well as residential and commercial real estate endeavors.
