Sheldon Amster, a member of both the New York State and Florida Bars, is a partner at SAGH. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1954 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and from New York University School of Law in 1956 (cum laude) where he was the Decisions Editor on the Law Review.
After having been engaged in the private practice of law from 1956 to 1962, he joined the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Second Judicial Department in 1962 as a Law Assistant. Subsequently, he became the Executive Assistant for three (3) Presiding Justices, and in 1974 was appointed Director of Administration of the Courts for the Second Judicial Department.
He retired from government services after twenty (20) years in 1982, at which time he became a Partner in the predecessor firm, Sydney, Seif & Amster. He specializes in estate planning, real estate and transactional work.
